JCB 403E Compact Loader with New Heated Cabin
JCB has introduced a fully glazed and heated ROPS/FOPS cabin available for its electric compact wheel loader 403E. This loader and other construction machines can easily be leased through ESKA Finance.
The cabin features heated front and rear windows, a heated seat, and a powerful three-speed heater with a boost function. The cabin can also be pre-heated during charging to save battery power and extend operating time.
Temperature Comfort in the Cabin
The 403E loader uses a 2.2 kW Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) heating system with three temperature settings. There is also a boost switch that can quickly increase cabin temperature, taking only 10 minutes before shutting off to save energy. The heater automatically turns off when the doors are open. In warmer months, the operator can use the blow function for air circulation, which works even with the doors open.
Pre-heating Function
The pre-heating function allows the operator to warm the cabin while the loader is charging. The operator sets a time, and the heater activates 30 minutes before work begins. If the machine is not used, the heater deactivates 15 minutes after the scheduled start. Heated front and rear windows ensure quick defrosting in colder climates and prevent fogging in rainy conditions, further reducing the need for the heater and conserving battery power.
The 403E is JCB’s first fully electric compact loader, equipped with a 20 kWh battery, one of the best in its class, offering 4-5 hours of mixed-cycle operation. Even with the fully equipped cabin, the machine weighs less than 2.6 tons, allowing it to be transported on a 3.5-ton trailer by a 4x4 vehicle or light commercial vehicle.
The 403E is powered by a 33.4 kW motor with three driving modes, transferring power via a ZF transmission to both axles, which can be equipped with open differentials or differential locks. A second 20 kW motor powers the hydraulic pump for lifting arms and attachments.
The JCB 403E is designed for both agriculture and construction, particularly favored by farmers who use solar or wind energy to easily charge the machine. It is also popular in urban construction and surface reinforcement projects, where there is demand for pallet transport with zero emissions and low noise. Slovak customers can finance construction equipment through ESKA Finance.
