Their base with tanks was located directly in our warehouses with products and equipment. One mechanic was shot

The story by Serhiy Voloshyn from Makarov, Kyiv region

The morning of February 24 began with terrible explosions and thoughts about what would happen next. Both of our companies are located in Makariv district of Kyiv region. These are the villages of Andriyivka, Lypivka, Plakhtyanka.
Uninvited guests came to us quickly. Stopped with their tanks right in our warehouses with products and equipment. Unfortunately, the loss of finances and material resources is not the worst thing that has happened. One of our mechanics was shot…
Corn has not yet been harvested
We have a protracted corn harvesting campaign. It happens to farmers that they do not have time to harvest in autumn and postpone it to winter. Therefore, on February 20, our harvesters worked in the fields. Since the corn had a certain humidity, it was piled up and planned to be transported for drying. But due to these events, we did not have time to remove it, due to shelling and damage to the warehouse, the roof fell on it. The remaining corn, which remained unharvested in the fields, about 1,000 tons, was entered by the occupiers in tanks and damaged.
There are a lot of missile strikes on equipment… There is completely destroyed equipment, there is equipment that cannot be restored, and there are machines that are damaged by rocket debris by 25%. Engines, tires — usually damaged. In total, we lost a lot.
2 months have passed, and it's time to think about what to do next
We wanted to use the state program to get funding to rebuild the company. Many applications were submitted to all state-owned banks. But it turned out that there are new requirements that we do not pass. For example, they ask for at least 40% of the equity in the structure of the enterprise. New financial covenants have been specially prescribed for this program, and a meager number of enterprises in Ukraine correspond to them, i.e., few people can, in principle, apply for funds.
In addition to the lack of funding, there are problems with logistics and sales.
Agrarians are brave, I'm sure they will go to sow
We also plan. Analyzed that we can not find an alternative to corn. For us, she understood, we know how to grow, how to achieve good results. Even despite the difficulty of selling, we do not know what to change. Probably, it would be profitable to sow buckwheat, it has risen in price ten times in the last three years. But we have no seeds or technology. This, again, requires money.
Agriculture is not construction. It can't wait
State-owned banks could set the tone, show private banks that financing farmers is OK, that money from the system will not go anywhere, someone will pay someone for seeds, fertilizers, and everything will work. But you have to rely only on yourself.
