It was scary, they started going from house to house and raping. The missiles hit a tower 200 meters from the house

A story by Linska Myroslava from Dymer, Kyiv region

My husband and I have had a family business since 2017 - growing berries and flowers. Customers who come to our park can lie on the straw, drink delicious coffee and pick organic strawberries on their own, or just spend time in a cozy place, which they do every day. You can also enjoy delicious strawberries and lavender drinks in the café. And on the lavender field - to hold a photoshoot.
The house in which we live is located in the eco-park, located in the village of Dymer, Vyshgorod district. The eco-park is based on the concept of light ecotourism. In 2021, we received 4,598 visitors to the eco-park, sold 1,464 kg of strawberries, and brewed 2,356 cups of lavender coffee.
Then the war began
From the first day of the war we were in Dimer, on February 25 Russian troops had already surrounded the village, it was impossible to leave by car because the bridges were broken. We were under occupation for 2 weeks, until 100 meters from the lavender field the Russians dug dugouts and set up their command post there.
It was scary, they started going from house to house and raping. Rockets hit a tower 200 meters from the house…
My husband and I decided to run away from Dimer. We traveled to Kyiv for two days.
Russian troops looted a lavender warehouse, and a coffeeshop, damaged a field, and broke a fence. The racists lived in our house. Field cultivation equipment was removed from the warehouse.
We have now resumed work, opened a coffee shop, cultivated the fields ourselves, and are preparing to open a lavender field.
We plan to work and restore the park further. Because it is important for children who come to our park. We plan to build a greenhouse made of glass and metal measuring 4x8 m for growing hydrangeas and lavender and another made of glass and wood measuring 12x22 m for growing lavender and strawberries. Both greenhouses will also be used as venues for events and coffee shop extensions.
It is always difficult to start your own business
For some it is the first time, for others - not. The main thing is to set yourself a vector of movement, clearly outline the value you bring to the world, and do not give up.
Before the war, I still have a personal Instagram page with 100,000 subscribers. That's why the park was developed through Instagram. Every day she filmed stories and published posts about the development of the park, and the creation of berry and lavender fields. Every day I take part in the development of the park, some lavender ideas we brought from Bulgaria, where our friend Elena, who has 60 hectares of lavender fields, advised us on growing and processing lavender into oil and hydrolate. We currently have our own distiller, we make lavender cosmetics.
