Project Manager

About project: A leasing provider for vehicles (cars and trucks), is building a comprehensive technology platform designed to streamline credit decision-making for micro-businesses, improve communication with suppliers, and support a marketplace where users can view leasing options and apply online. Company operated on several EU markets with offices in Slovakia and France.
Product: Set of internal microservices + marketplace for asset based financing for microentrepreneurs.
Project Technologies: Python 3.9+, Django REST Framework, Celery, FastAPI, Selenium, GCP, Google Cloud SQL (Postgresql), Google Cloud Firestore, Elastic Search.
Team: 2 python developers + external contractors.
Project duration: over 1 year.
Development stage: MVP
Must have skills (hard, technical):
- 3-5 years of experience managing agile software development projects, preferably in FinTech or a similar fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture, API integrations, and cloud deployments. While not a developer, the Project Manager must understand technical jargon and processes to facilitate communication between teams.
- Experience in identifying project risks and managing project budgets effectively.
Must have skills (soft):
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to identifying challenges and proposing solutions to keep projects on track.
- Ability to motivate and guide teams through project milestones, ensuring accountability and productivity across the development team.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams, coordinate between teams, and handle competing priorities effectively.
As a plus:
- Experience working in FinTech or the leasing/financial services sector is advantageous but not mandatory.
Tasks:
- Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocations aligned with business priorities.
- Lead agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure the team is delivering on key milestones.
- Serve as the main contact between the development team and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment with business needs.
- Identify potential project risks (e.g., technical bottlenecks, scope creep, timeline delays) and work proactively to mitigate them. Communicate risks to stakeholders and provide solutions.
- Manage budgets and resource use, providing regular project status updates.
- Facilitate collaboration between development, design teams, and external partners for seamless platform integration.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards, including security and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR).
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of plans, progress, and key decisions for transparency and traceability.
Interview stages:
Technical part (1 stage): tech online interview with СТО.
Final part (2 stage): online interview with CEO.
Work schedule:
The full-time work — 100% remote. Flexible workday (start from 8.00 to 11.00).
